The Governing Body from September 2024:
Mr Richard Wells
Chair of Governors
As a teacher who has worked in Secondary Education for over twenty years I understand the important role a governor has in shaping the direction of a school in terms of curriculum, policy and the needs of all the pupils. As a parent with two children in the school I want to help and support all the excellent work the staff that provides my children with an outstanding environment to learn and explore new things.
Mr Tom Geatches
Parent Governor
My 2 daughters attend Haresfield School and I am passionate about supporting the school and staff in any way that I can to help give all the Haresfield children the best school experience.
I have over 15 years’ experience of leading children’s clubs at our local church, across multiple locations and enjoy seeing children chasing their dreams and become all that they can be in life! I also oversee the afterschool club at Haresfield School and love being part of the wider school community.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and playing sport (badly!)
I’m really looking forward to my time as a parent governor.
Lisa Harman
Local Authority Governor
I have volunteered and worked in the public sector for over 20 years; starting life as a Secretary and various admin-related roles, until I retrained several years ago. Since then, I have worked as a Project Manager on projects relating to health, employment, learning conditions and more recently procurement/implementation of new equipment.
Having moved from Wiltshire to Hardwicke in July 2019, I was keen to support the the local community and have a passionate belief that a positive and engaging education can change the course of a lifetime.
Alec Jeakins
Ex-officio Foundation Governor
I have been a Churchwarden at St Peter’s from June 20o8 and a Foundation Governor from October 2010. I was born & brought up in London. I worked in post- production in film & television until 1995 and have been a house husband since then. We moved to Gloucestershire in 1997. I served on the governing body of Wynstones Steiner Waldorf School 2000-2006.
I am a parent of three children. My wife was a Mathematics in a Gloucester secondary school.
